Well, I finished this book last night. I’ll have to say that this was an alright book. It was a short read and to the point, but it was geared more towards the young adult crowd. The story line was pretty good if you can get past the teenage angst going on. The book is told through multiple view points from Alissa, Sky, Mint, Miles and Cleo. Mint was my favorite character.

Synopsis: Alissa, Sky, Cleo, and Miles just wanted something to do on a Friday night, so they signed up for an Escape Room. They have one hour to find clues, crack codes, and figure out puzzles. The Game Master told them they can always leave the game. But what if that’s not true? What if the Game Master has no intention of letting them out?
This doesn’t sound like my type of book, but I really like the cover art. 🙂 The premise sounds a little too silly to me.

The book, I think, is geared more towards the young adult crowd. Some adults don’t fancy reading books made for teenagers so it’s okay if you wouldn’t want to read it. I’m sure there are other books that you may find interesting.

I actually still like both middle grade books and YA (I’m 26,) it’s just that premise doesn’t appeal to me. In many cases, I think a good story is a good story even if the intended audience of a book isn’t ‘adult.’ I have to pick and choose to find YA books that don’t bore me, but I would say the same is most true for adult books too. 😛

That’s okay if it doesn’t appeal to you. If I find a book that doesn’t appeal to me, I’ll simply put it back on the shelf and move on to the next shelf. And I’m the same way….if I’m not interested then I’m not interested. Regardless of the age of the target audience.
