October is among us and so I feel like spooky season is officially here. What “spooky” books are you reading to get in the mood for Halloween? If you don’t mind, please share whatever you’re reading in the comments below.
I’m currently reading a book with a number of spine-chilling short stories in it by various authors. I’ve made a couple of trips to the local Spirit Halloween store here in town. Other than that, I haven’t really done anything “spooky”.
There was one year that my husband and I spent Halloween staying in a hotel here in our state that is supposedly one of the most haunted hotels in the country. It was even raining/thundering that Halloween that we stayed in that hotel.
Do you read spooky or scary books only around Halloween? Or do you read that kind of stuff all year around? Which horror author is your favorite? Do you participate in any other spooky activities around Halloween besides reading spooky literature?
