Stephen King has become one of my favorite authors. I actually started reading literature written by his son before I started reading his stuff. The first thing I read of his was “Carrie”. I’m in the process of reading his Dark Tower series. I’ve read the first book and I need to move on to the second one. Right now I’m in the middle of reading “IT”. It’s a good book but it’s quite a long read. I have a couple of his other works that haven’t been able to read yet, such as Misery and Cujo. I know, I know…..I need to get reading.
What have you read by Stephen King? What is your favorite? Which would you recommend?
“I am your number one fan” OH how I loved and hated Misery! I loved it because it drew me in and kept me there and hated it because I wanted to escape and not be put through the torture the main character had to go through. Whenever I thought he could find a way to get out I realized I was wrong!
The Stand was a nice long read but there were things that bothered me about it and I won’t gross people out by listing them. Eww.
The Shining has long been a favorite of mine and looking back through a list online of King’s books I’m seeing that I have read probably only the really famous ones. I guess those were most available at the public library.
What I’ve always loved about King’s writing is that he goes to places I never thought or dared my mind to go to. How could he venture there and make it work? He’s amazing.

I’ve read several of his works but I haven’t read the ones you’ve mentioned though. I think a lot of his works are long but he can make it work because he is such a good writer. I’ll have to see if I can read the works you mentioned.
