First of all, what sort of device do you read your e-books on? Do you read using a table or e-reader of some kind? Do you ever read on your phone? I have a Kindle Fire that my hubby bought me a couple of years ago. I was really hesitant to getting any kind of device to read my books on because I’ve always preferred reading physical books (still do). But my Kindle has allowed me to take a bunch of books with me when I travel without it taking up a bunch of room in my bag.
Second, how often do you read e-books (as opposed to reading physical books)? I still prefer reading physical books as opposed to reading on my Kindle. But I’ll read something on my Kindle from time to time. I’m currently read an e-book right now. I probably don’t read on my Kindle as much as I should but I haven’t traveled anywhere recently (especially since the pandemic started),
Third, what sort of e-books do you have? There are some books that I have that are only available in e-book form. So, if I wanted a certain book, I’d have to get it in e-book from if I wanted to read it. For example, when I started reading literature from author Darcy Coates, originally I’d have to get that on my Kindle. I still tend to purchase their books on my Kindle even though my local book store is starting to get some of her literature now.
I share your thoughts here. I too have a Kindle (Oasis) and I am constantly being suckered into buying amazing deals for digital books. Like you, there is something about physically holding a book. Closing out of a book on an e-reader does not compare to the satisfaction of closing a book after I’ve finished reading the last sentence of a physical book in my opinion. It’s too easy for books to pile up though so for that reason I like the majority of my book collection in digital format. I completely relate regarding the limited traveling during this unprecedented time. The Kindle is a great device for holding literally hundreds of titles. Too many distractions come with a smartphone so I don’t usually read my books on my phone. I feel like I already look at my phone too much as it is so I like the option of having a separate e-reader.

Looks like we agree on that. I’ll read on my Kindle Fire, just not as much as I do when it comes to reading the physical books.

I wish I had a kindle but as I didn’t buy one yet nor can afford one at the moment I am stuck with reading on my laptop or on my phone. I like ebooks and I feel they are better than books due to paper being made out of wood (not saying there are no alternatives), but other than that it’s the same for me. As long as I can read it I don’t care what format it is.
I own a lot of basketball coaching ebooks, a lot of practicing ebooks, and comedies in ebook formats.

Maybe you’ll be able to get one some day. That depends on if you want one. If you are happy with reading on your laptop or phone, then that is just fine. What sort of comedies do you read?

I have tried all of the tablets and the PC but i still like to have the book in my hand, I find using tablets is very hard on the eyes but i’m a little older and it may be just me.

I prefer reading the actual books as well. I do have a Kindle and it does come in handy when I’m traveling. I can carry lots of books without it taking up much room in my carry on bag. But I still prefer ready physical books most of the time.
