I have done it but I don’t re-read books that often. I read “The House of Dies Drear” by Virginia Hamilton years and years ago when I was in school, probably 5th or 6th grade I want to say. Well, I got the e-book version and re-read it a couple of years ago. I also got the sequel, “The Mystery of Drear House” and read that as well. I also read the “Scary Stories to Tell in the Dark” series by Alvin Schwartz back when I was in the 7th grade. I hadn’t heard of them before then but I decided to read them after finding them it in my school library. I re-read that series a couple of years ago as well.
I do plan on re-reading the Harry Potter series once I’ve collected all the illustrated copies of the books. I have the illustrated editions of the first 5 books in the series……I just have to wait for them to make illustrated editions for the 6th and 7th books in order to have the entire series. Other than the Harry Potter series, I haven’t thought about re-reading anything else. I’ve been too busy reading new stuff that I haven’t read before (I’ve got plenty on my “TBR” pile).
How often do you re-read a book?
It’s not too often I re-read a book unless I really enjoyed it and want to go back through it again because I enjoyed it that much. I think the only books that I have ever re-read due to really enjoying them were the Harry Potter books.

It takes me more than six months to read a book that I have read before. I don’t always rush in finishing a book and that means that I get to understand most of the things that were written in the book. So, reading the book again will be in a space of six months or more when I we want to refresh my memory on what the book is all about.
