I found an article online (link is listed at the bottom of this article). There is one book on this whole list that I’ve read and it wasn’t out in my 20s. There is another one on here that I’ve heard of and I’m a little interested in reading. However, I’ve not heard of most of the books on this list. I’ll have to do some more digging into some of these books before I go out and purchase them or borrow them from my local library. What do you think of the books on this list….?

I’m obviously a male, so I may not relate to this article compared to these female writers. I will say that I really like the idea of a book being a life changing experience. There is so much content to read, and I think positive content can really have a great impact on your life. When I was in high school, I had to read This is Water, which is a short book based on a graduation speech that David Foster Wallace presented at a college a number of years ago. I was not excited about having to read anything for my Dual Enrollment English class, but I ended up being very glad that I did. This book/speech has had a major impact on my life ever since then.

I do think reading can have an impact on your life regardless of gender. I believe reading has had a good impact on my life for various reasons, like helping me to get rid of some of my stress.
