There are probably a number of reasons why we like to read. I enjoy reading because it gives me an escape from all the hustle and bustle of every day life. If I’ve had a particularly stressful day, I can pick up a book and within minutes, I’ve immersed myself in the story and I’ve forgotten all about the hard day I’ve just experienced. It’s like giving your brain a vacation (but it’s cheaper than taking an actual vacation). I find reading to be something that is very relaxing. There are also some entertainment value in it…….it’s like the people who enjoy watching tv or movies (although I must admit I like to do those as well but probably not more than reading). You get to be transported to another place (and often times a completely different time) where you can spend countless hours learning about what is in that world that is created by the author that wrote that piece of literature. I guess I find it interesting to see what other people come up with just by using their imagination. So, if you don’t mine me asking, what are your reasons for reading? Feel free to leave a comment…

Books enrich our knowledge, some books takes us to a new world. Most authors writes incidents what they experienced and feel worth sharing with others. I am a spiritual person and inspired by a book “Autobiography of yogi”, I don’t feel bored even I read this book for several times.

I’m one of those that enjoy letting the book take me to a new world. I’ve always been fascinated with the different worlds, and the stories that are told within that world, that other people have come up with.

Since I was a kid I always enjoyed a good tile. I enjoyed getting attached to different characters, seeing magic and learning lessons through their experiences. There are many things that because of my personality and circumstances I will probably never experience but books allow you to get into the shoes of different people with different thoughts and lives from yours. Another reason I have is the psychology of it. I like trying to make sense of a character’s motivations, personalities and learn more about them.
It is a window to tales I can’t tell myself. It is a way to escape my own head.

I’ve always liked seeing where the story takes me. It’s like a mini vacation, however, it’s a lot cheaper that an actual vacation but it still takes you places. I hope you continue to enjoy reading and read whatever makes you happy.

I love reading because it allows me to dig deep into my imagination. If the story is good, it will take me away from reality, which I love. There are movies that I don’t like because they weren’t well thought out, they skip over important parts, etc. With books, I’m the director and I don’t leave anything out.

I’m the same way. I’ve always liked reading because it allows to be escape to another world and leave my own behind for a little while. I guess that’s why I find reading to be relaxing. It helps me to get away from the stress of life for a while.
