New e-books!

One of the things my hubby got me for Christmas was an Amazon gift card. Today I used that to get some e-books put on my Kindle Fire. One of the e-books is a pre-order and I won’t be able to download it onto my Kindle until it is released on April 2 of 2020 (it’s the last one on the list). Now I’ll have to get reading…

The Folcroft Ghosts by Darcy Coates
The Haunting of Gillespie House by Darcy Coates
So Pretty a Problem by Francis Duncan
In at the Death by Francis Duncan
The Girl Who Lived Twice by David Lagercrantz
The Vanishing by Bentley Little
Viper’s Daughter by Michelle Paver

Here comes Santa Claus!

Merry Christmas everyone! Thanks to my wonderful hubby, I got a lot of wonderful things this year for Christmas. I got the illustrated edition of Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire, Luigi’s Mansion 3 for the Nintendo Switch, an Amazon gift card and a gift card to the local bookstore. I also woke up with quite a few things in my stockings….a Michael Myers plush doll, a few Harry Potter items and an assortment of candy.

I also got quite a few things from different family members and friends. Some more gift cards to the local bookstore, a new wallet, a pair of warm house shoes, a necklace, a bracelet, a 2 year planner, one of those adult coloring books and many more.

Major Announcement!

It was recently announced on Twitter that Christopher Paolini is making a new book and it will be released on 09.15.2020 (nearly a year away, ugh!). This new book, titled “To Sleep in a Sea of Stars”, sounds very much like a science fiction novel to me. This book is available for pre-order already at several major retailers including Amazon, Barnes & Noble, Books-a-Million and more. I think I’m going to be giving this book a read when it comes out. What about you?

Synopsis: You flew on the wings of a dragon, now soar into a sea of stars. . . .

To Sleep in a Sea of Stars is a story of enormous intergalactic weight and consequence, but also of deeply personal human strength, compassion, and awe.

During a routine survey mission on an uncolonized planet, xenobiologist Kira Navárez finds an alien relic that thrusts her into the wonders and nightmares of first contact. Epic space battles for the fate of humanity take her to the farthest reaches of the galaxy and, in the process, transform not only her—but the entire course of history.
