I purchased a new book today. I was interested in getting this book when I found out it was suppose to come out. I’ve read some other stuff from this author and that’s what got my attention first. The other thing that hooked me was the synopsis. It sounds really, really good…

Synopsis: Brecken Hill in upstate New York is an expensive place to live. You have to be rich to have a house there, and Fred and Sheila Merton certainly are rich. But even all their money can’t protect them when a killer comes to call. The Mertons are brutally murdered after a fraught Easter dinner with their three adult kids. Who, of course, are devastated.
Or are they? They each stand to inherit millions. They were never a happy family, thanks to their vindictive father and neglectful mother, but perhaps one of the siblings is more disturbed than anyone knew. Did someone snap after that dreadful evening? Or did another person appear later that night with the worst of intentions? That must be what happened. After all, if one of the family were capable of something as gruesome as this, you’d know.
Oh the classic was it the kids for insurance? This might be a great read for the fans of this genre, and I am sure the story should be great. I am a fan of it due to most of them being based on real life events, as we know there have been a few murders where the kids killed the parents and got only caught because they had big parties with the money they inherited.

I haven’t read this one yet. I do not believe it’s based on a true story. I’ve read literature from this author before and I’m sure it’s a work of fiction.
